Creative One heads to the nation’s capitol in two weeks to take part in SISTER GIANT. This major event is bringing together an illuminating mix of progressive voices, gathering to consider the state of our country on both spiritual and political levels. We will thrilled to participate in incubating ideas and contributing to plans by which each of us, particularly now, can help move America in a more enlightened direction.

The event is being hosted by one of our country’s most respected soul sisters, Marianne Williamson. A keynote will be given by Senator Bernie Sanders.

In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “Politics should be sacred.” We have seen, and are seeing, what happens when it is not. SISTERGIANT is dedicated to forging a deeper conversation about what is happening in America today – and what we can do to change it.

Here is a personal message from Marianne Williamson:

Friends – We’re all acutely aware of what a critical time this is.

Those of us seeking to practice the principles of love have never been more challenged to put feet to our prayers. The most important question now is not, “What will the new year bring to us?” but rather, “What will we bring to it?”

No matter what happens, our focus must be on rising to the occasion of taking whatever comes and lifting it into the light of love and truth. My personal as well as professional theme this year is, “Enlighten Everything.”

To me, that means that this year we must get real. We shouldn’t allow ourselves to be satisfied with healing some areas of our lives, but not others.Wherever and however we can, let us seek to practice more fully the principles we already know.

It is time for us to bring the fullness of ourselves to politics, and that weekend we will make every effort to do that. This isn’t the time for a superficial spirituality, or for a superficial politics. This is the year when we are called to go deep.

This is going to be a dramatic year; I also hope it will be one in which all of us can say, twelve months from now, that we were the best we could have possibly been and contributed mightily to the healing of our world.

With peace, love and blessings, Marianne Williamson

Creative One took part in the Parliament of the World’s Religions in  Salt Like City, Utah this past week. What an incredible experience! More than 10,000 people from 80 countries and 50 religious/spiritual traditions will come together to share, learn, dialogue and express ideas and visions for a just, peaceful and sustainable future. ‪

We were brought to tears by the impassioned presentations of speakers from all over the world who talked about issues facing our planet, including climate change, income inequality, women’s rights, indigenous solidarity, youth empowerment, peace over violence and more. Some of the presenters included Dr. Jane Goodall, Dr. Karen Armstrong, Chief Lookinghorse of the Sioux Nation, Dr. Vendana Shiva, Rev. Michael Bernard Beckwith, Indigenous Grandmother Rose Pere of New Zealand, Dr. Eboo Patel, and Marianne Williamson.

We met up with colleagues and dear friends, as well as forged many new connections with like-minded others who define our sweet-spot target market: conscious citizens engaged in subtle activism to make this one and only planet we share a more peaceful, habitable and beautiful place for all.

Creative One also took part in a documentary that is being produced about the Parliament. Once we have a clip t0 share, we will post it here on our Launch Pad!

In this photo, we are enjoying being part of a communal lunch hosted by members of the Sikh religion. A humbling and beautiful experience.

At Creative One, we are determined to help create positive and lasting social change in the world.
